does anyone know if there was ever a promo cd single released for this cover girl's song......the 45/single version is a remix and CANNOT be simply edited from the full cd/lp version......has anyone seen this song on on import as well.....

I believe only a promo single was released for this one. This came from the Fever label, and if I recall correctly, they were an independant label back in the 80's.

Sorry, I should have been more specific, I have only seen a promo 45 for this song. No cd.

My vinyl 12" single doesn't include a radio edit (I thought it would, and was going to offer to needle drop it for you).

Yes, this seems to be one of those rare (for that era) cases where the 45 version was only issued on the actual 45...not included on 12" or any CD single of any sort. And it has yet to show up on any CD compilations. And there doesn't appear to be a longer version that can be edited to match the 45. A shame because this was a pretty big hit and got a lot of radio play in my area. I have purchased several 45s over the years to perform needledrops...they sound OK, but not stellar. I would love to have this from an actual tape source. |
