There's no notes about it in the database, but promo copies of the CD single for Heavy D & The Boyz "Nuttin' But Love" only contained the "Album Extended" version of the track (along with the instrumental and acapella), which ran close to (4:30). My single isn't handy to check the exact time, but I'm wondering if a commercial single was avaialable and which version was used.

the cassingle issued as Uptown/MCA 54865 was indeed the extended version running 4:28 and NOT the edit version......although the cassingles sleeve does not state WHICH version it is, but i compared the two and they are identical........

My next question, since my promo single isn't readily handy, is whether we have a case of the LP length being shorter than the 45 length or if the song on the promo CD and cassingle is a "version"---not simply extending beyond the fade out of the LP version.

Since Ed just brought this one up in a new thread, I thought I'd revive this old thread. I grabbed my promo single from MI on my last visit. As soon as I get home, I'll compare the "Album Extended" to the "LP version" to see if there are any differences before the (3:33) mark.

As I suspected, the 45 version of this one is just a 45 length. The LP length fades out by (3:33), while the 45 length has an instrumental section at the end and goes to (4:27).

the cassingle issued as uptown/mca 54865 contains a non described version and it runs 4:29.....it's identical to the "album extended" version from the import cd single.....
