I have a copy of the promo 12" with the "Short Version" as the first track. Listed & actual time is 4:18, and this is an edit of the LP mix. It's not the remix found on the 45.

I'm a bit confused about this one. I recreated this song a
while back and and just did an a/b comparison with 45 dub that Bill sent and my recreation. I don't hear any difference other than an eq difference from the cd version vs the vinyl cut. Am I missing something? Maybe what I hear as an eq difference is actually a slight remix difference? Someone also mentioned there was a section with unique audio. Edited by promojunkie |

Yes, the 45 is remixed. For example, at 1:04 and 1:08 there are tamborine hits on the 45 remix that are missing from the LP version. As another example, at 2:37, there are "ooohs" (background vocals) that are absent on the same spot in the LP version.

ahh, ok. I just listened again and I missed those
tambourine hits when I recreated this a few years ago. |
