Although the album/45 version differences are noted in the description on the Top40oncd page for "El Paso," there are no corresponding "45 version" or "LP version" designations for the individual CD reissues.

Is there a reason?

That short edit of "El Paso" was promo only. Never
available on stock 45 RPM singles of the track. And radio
mostly played the long version.
I turn up the good and turn down the bad!

I recall hearing an edit of this in the early 70s on
Drake's "Solid Gold" syndicated format. Wasn't aware
of the promo edit at the time...not sure if that's
what they played or if it was a custom edit.
Don't remember what stations played during the song's
chart run...didn't get my first radio until 1962, so
my listening was a bit more casual before that. Must
have been the complete version I heard, because I
didn't have the song at the time and definitely picked
up the edit.
