Stock copies that I know of are stereo, but I found a DJ copy which is mono/stereo. The mono side is a different mix, the horns are mixed louder than the stereo side, but the most significant difference is that at about 1:46, where on the stereo version the background vocalists are turned off as the guitar starts wailing, they keep going on the mono side for another second or two. So I guess the way to describe this is "Mono DJ version features a different mix". I see that a mono version has made it to a couple of Time Life CDs. Is it the DJ mono mix or the stereo version summed to mono? Does anybody else have info on this track?

Just dug out my Sounds Of The Seventies: 1973 CD and it seems to match Bill's description.
