The printed and actual commercial 45 run time for Mickey Gilley's "Stand by Me" is 3:38. (This info comes courtesy of Abagon). The only reason I post this information is because all database CD appearances of this song to date clock in from 3:33 to 3:35. I'm wondering if the CD run times are reflective of the LP length, or perhaps the 45 might have been cut at a slower speed? Does anyone have the parent soundtrack vinyl LP Urban Cowboy from 1980 who can report to us the run time for "Stand by Me"?

my commercial 45 issued as full moon 46640 states a run time on the label as 3:38 and does indeed run that length and is a slower running version that all the db entries.....

Thanks for helping us get to the bottom of this one, Ed! Just to make sure all bases are covered, can anyone verify if the Urban Cowboy soundtrack vinyl LP runs at the faster speed heard on all CD appearances to date?

The actual LP running time of the "Urban Cowboy" sound track vinyl is (3:34), the listed time is "3:35" on the record label. (Full Moon/Asylum DP-90002)
This tune surely has a speed difference between the 45 and the OST LP. The commercial 45 is slower than the OST vinyl LP.

The 45 is slower speed than the LP or CD version, also including the version on 10 Years Of Hits on Epic.

None of the entries in the online database are labeled but is it safe to say they all are at the LP speed?

Yes, a safe assumption.
