My commercial 45 has a listed time of (3:01) and an actual time of (2:59). I only post this info because all current database CDs for this song have run times ranging between (3:03) and (3:05). I would deduce from this that the 45 was sped up a little.

It's also possible the LP length runs slightly longer. Anyone have the LP run time?

Of course that's possible, Todd, but because this particular song ends, and without a very long "last note resolve", I was inclined to think pitch change the culprit, as opposed to a song with a faded ending, where your scenario is, as you well know, the case quite often. FYI, the "LP" in question is the 1978 "Grease" movie soundtrack.
