While not in the database, the #39 BB hit for Graham Parker & The Shot "Wake Up (Next To You)" can be edited to its 45 version from the full length LP version. There are a couple edits and an early fade on the 45.

my commercial 45 runs 4:00 and is identical to the version on "best of the 80's rock, vol 3" issued on the priority label....so the 45 version is already available on cd.....

Thanks, Ed! I wasn't sure which version was on the Priority compilation.

This track is a favorite of mine. On the album version at the 3:18 mark the instrumental break sounds like a familiar melody, but I can't place it. Any of you experts have an idea what it could be?

To Santi:

Perhaps Redbone's "Come And Get Your Love"?

That sounds like it could be the melody at the instrumental break midway thru the song. Thanks Andy.
