The 5 second difference between tracks 1 & 2 is possibly due to an

Robert: On the Radio Edit - w/o Rap, the first rap is
turned into an instrumental section... and later, once Left Eye says "Yo, this is me, this is me" - there's a pretty hard edit back to the album's post-rap chorus in place of her rap. So basically, it's the insertion of an extra chorus from what I can hear. :) Left Eye isn't heard anywhere else on the track - no ad-libs outside of the aforementioned line. (I just did this by listening. No analysis of the tracks' differences in any programs.) Hope this helps! It's my first time posting! Ah!
