Does anyone have this promo cd for TLC - What About Your
Friends - Arista – LFPCD-4025? I would like to know
the actual times of the single (what is read on a cd
player) and the length of each song. Thanks!

This is from a rip of the CD single Arista – LFPCD-4025:
01 TLC - What About Your Friends (Album Radio Edit - With Rap) 4:07
02 TLC - What About Your Friends (Album Radio Edit - Without Rap 4:02
03 TLC - What About Your Friends (Album) - 4:58
04 TLC - What About Your Friends (Instrumental) - 4:55

Does the Album Radio Edit Without Rap appear on any CDs, or does anyone have the edit points? Unless I'm missing something, it seems like there's a lot more than 5 seconds of rap in the "Oooh" CD.

The 5 second difference between tracks 1 & 2 is possibly due to an
entirely different edit of the full 4:58 LP version. I haven’t done a direct
comparison to know for sure.

Robert: On the Radio Edit - w/o Rap, the first rap is
turned into an instrumental section... and later, once
Left Eye says "Yo, this is me, this is me" - there's a
pretty hard edit back to the album's post-rap chorus
in place of her rap. So basically, it's the insertion
of an extra chorus from what I can hear. :) Left Eye
isn't heard anywhere else on the track - no ad-libs
outside of the aforementioned line. (I just did this
by listening. No analysis of the tracks' differences
in any programs.)
Hope this helps! It's my first time posting! Ah! Very
excited to have found some like-minded collectors and
historians! :)
