There is a 3 LP set by K-Tel of Canada that has a rare stereo version of the non-LP single "I Hear Those Church Bells Ringing" by Dusk (originally released on Bell Records) that I must have to help complete my extensive 1971 collection. Does anyone know the name of this collection?

It is on the 1973 set TC 211 Today's Super Greats in true stereo. I have an MP3
of a vinyl rip if you want.

Fine song.

Never knew it existed in true stereo! Was the promo 45 stereo/mono? Or was this cut akin to the Neighborhood's "Big Yellow Taxi" (only available in stereo on Adam VIII/Ronco/K-Tel).

Actually folks, were there any other cuts back then that were seemingly unavailable in stereo until they made a TV-advertised comp??

A great Canadian tune by Chester "Make My Life A Little Bit Brighter" from
1973 (#10, Canada) was a mono 45 and made its stereo debut on the CAD
version of 1973 k-tel LP "Fantastic" but it fades early.

David, the U.S. Bell promo 45s I have of Chester's "Make My Life A Little Bit Brighter" (45379) and "Start A Dream" (45458, from '74) are both mono/stereo.

It reminds me of another 1973 CAN 45, although it wasn't a hit on either side of the 49th parallel: Cliff & Ann Edwards' "Carry On." The odd yellow-label mono/stereo U.S. Polydor promo we received at my college station was pressed so poorly by NAMI (the former Capitol Scranton plant) that it was barely passable. When I tracked down a better-pressed CAN Polydor promo 45 a decade ago, I was surprised to find that it was mono/mono.

Yah,

Do you have a dub of that stereo promo 45? I am curious if it runs the full
length.

David, how much of a difference do you have between the CAN Celebration 45 and the K-tel CD? The "Brighter" Bell DJ 45 runs at nearly an identical speed on both sides, with the stereo (2:59.6) actually running about .486 second longer than the mono (2:59.1), which is just enough for one more piano note.

That is one l-o-n-n-n-g fade!

Yes, an MP3 would be great! The next best thing to WAV
file.

Yah,

The k-tel LP (not CD) runs about 2:34. I tried to join the ending of the stereo
45 to it (the k-tel sounds good), but they run at different speeds (this I can fix)
but sound different (not easy to fix).
