i had and sold the promo cd single as slip n slide/atlantic
prcd 300599 which contained as the lead track the 'new
modified edit' which was listed as 4:14 but actually runs
4:08...i don't know how this version compares to the clean
album version, but if anyone knows, please chime in...this
dj cd single info s/b added to the db...

Ed, I have two different promo CD singles for "I'm A Thug," and here are the details:
PRCD 300553
1. Clean (listed & actual 4:14)
2. Instrumental (listed & actual 4:14)
3. Album (listed & actual 4:14)
4. Callout Research Hook :14
PRCD 300599
1. New Modified Edit (listed 4:14; actual 4:08)
2. Instrumental (listed & actual 4:14)
3. Album (listed & actual 4:14)
4. Callout Research Hook :14
The "New Modified Edit" is a completely different vocal take with alternate lyrics compared with the "Clean" version on PRCD 300553. The "Clean" version simply mutes the offensive words.

i rec'd the file and i have a question....is the clean
version that you sent from the first promo cd single above
the same as the clean/censored album version?

Hey Ed, I don't have the clean album, so I don't know. The "Album"
version on both promo CDs contains explicit lyrics.
