I'd be very interested to know if anyone has picked up "Kiss in the Dark" on the Japanese import Pink Lady Platinum Box set which currently retails for a mere $221.49! :-)

I was doing some surfing on eBay and notice a number of Pink Lady albums have been issued as import mini-LP CD releases. For anyone unfamiliar, mini-LP CDs are limited edition releases typically made in Japan and are packaged in a mini LP cardboard sleeve with replica art work of their original LP releases. The CDs are believed to be carefully remastered and usually come complete with Japanese / English lyric booklet and obi strip. They typically range in price from $20-$50.
I'm wondering if any of these Pink Lady mini-LP CDs might contain "Kiss in the Dark"? I notice the ones available on eBay are currently retailing for about $15, which does make me a bit suspicious because evidently there are a lot of mini-LP CD fakes and forgeries being sold out there by unscrupulous vendors. (I got burned recently after purchasing a mini-LP CD of Donna Summer's The Wanderer and it turned out to be a bootleg made in Finland. To add insult, the CD was mastered from a vinyl LP!). However, the eBay vendors selling the Pink Lady mini-LP Cds claim to be from Japan, which at least gives some hope.
Anyone have any insight on this?

At one time, I came across a listing that had both the Japanese titles and English titles for the Pink Lady import CDs. At least one of those import CDs does have "Kiss In The Dark," and I believe it was a "Best Of" compilation. Given the relatively high price, I opted not to buy it, so I can't be of much help. I'm thinking I found the CD on amazon.com or half.com---can't remember which one.
Perhaps Abagon can step in with some further information.

I could find the "Pink Lady in U.S.A." CD in the store "HMV". It seems that this was released for the original LP in 1979 in the USA. By chance, this will be
released tommorow (21th of May) in Japan. This price is 2,000yen -tax in- (approximately 19.30 USD). However this is the limited edition and the paper sleeve item.

I'm thinking the CD price in Japan is costly. Therefore, An American hits lover, I always buy U.S. import CDs.

Thanks for the info, gentlemen. So between Pink Lady's self-titled album and their Pink Lady in U.S.A. album, which was considered their parent U.S. LP release containing "Kiss in the Dark"?

The official parent album was titled Pink Lady on Elektra 209. Peaked at #203 on Billboard's "Bubbling Under" Albums chart on August 18, 1979.

Hi, Todd,
"Pink Lady in U.S.A." is the title for Japan only. This is the real reissued "self-titled album". Therefore "Kiss In the Dark" includes on this CD. Although I don't have the "self-titled album". I searched in a Japanese web site. I just knew this CD of the track listing and "Kiss in the dark"'s sample are the same as the "self-titled album".
