the 45 version of the above song runs 3:44 and is just an early fade of the version from the "misfits" cd........your entry has the full 3:58 version as the 45 version which is incorrect.........the 45 actually runs 3:44 and is just an early fade........ edtop40 ------------- edtop40 |

So do you mean that the 45 version fades to 4:44 -- or 3:44? |

the actual 45 runs 3:44 and is identical to the 3:58 version but faded 0:14 early.......it's not even close to the 4:58 version!!! ------------- edtop40 |

| Kind of odd for a song that was released in '78, but the 45 is in mono! I'm guessing that the stereo 45 edit (but longer) on the Misfits CD must have been done to replicate the 45, or were there mix differences, too? |

My commercial 45 both states and plays stereo. It's a Santa Maria Columbia pressing. Deadwax info is 2628-S 1A.

Arista promos were (for the most part) mono/stereo in that era, so that's a pretty good chance.
The only one I can think of that wasn't that way is Barry Manilow's "Copacabana", which is long/short both stereo. |
