another label question......which chess label format was the song 'i do love you' by billy stewart issued as chess 1922 on originally......there looks to be 3 different label variations.....one is the light blue background with chess colored in white and pink....a second is an all black label with a knight chess piece behind the words 'chess' in yellow.......another is all black and has the words 'chess' on the left written top to botom....anyone know which was originally issued in 1965?

1965 was a transition year, this single appeared with all 3 label styles.

Ed on my 45, Chess 1922, the first real vocal line "Oh I love a you so my love" begins at :55, while on the LP it starts at :44. Does this information line up with your 45 Ed?

There is an edit early on in the stereo LP version. Listen to the mono 45 and you will hear this opening line gets repeated "I do love you, yes I do girl." You only hear that line once at the start of the LP version. That to me is the easiest way to distinguish between the two. Towards the end of the LP version the fade happens later to make up the time difference (you hear Billy sing additional lines that are not present on the 45's fade).
