my commercial 45 for the trade martin song "that stranger
used to be my girl" states a run time on the label as 2:44
but only runs 2:42....if you fade for 0:09 from 2:33 to
2:42 on the 2:47 full length version, you'll effectively
re-create the vinyl 45 version....

The 45 has double tracked vocals, while all stereo mixes I've heard are missing the second vocal track (is there a 2:47 mono version with the double tracked vocals?).
This "Trade"mark was repeated with a couple other 45's he released on Coed, but there is at least one (Joanne) where the 45 has single tracked vocals and the version found on cd has double tracked vocals.

listening to a YouTube dub of a 45, it also has handclaps throughout that
are not present on the stereo version. Has this appeared on an import
(or any other type of...) CD to date? This is a track for Eric to get out
there!

(Hard To Find 45s On CD, Vol. 10).

santi, yes, it is, however it is NOT the correct single version - it is
missing the overdubs as indicated in this thread. We need to have the
correct 45 version on CD.
