Tears For Fears - Sowing The Seeds of Love; does anybody know if the Full Version & U.S. Radio Edit have ever been commercially released, or will I only find them if I find the original promo CD?
Thanks!

The US Radio Edit is on GoldDisc, but I don't know that it's on any commercial compilations.

Cool... thanks for the info. Do you know if that GoldDisc is a vinyl source? (I've heard many of them were.)

Gene, I tried to PM you, but your mailbox is full. I came across a copy of the promo CD single w/ the US Edit and Full version at a used CD shop near my work a few weeks ago. I wouldn't hold my breath on it still being there, but let me know if you want me to check. I'll send it to you at cost + shipping if they still have it.

Sorry to hear my box is full! Too many irons in the fire. :) I'll go clean it out here in a sec.
That would be GREAT; let me know what the price is before you grab it, though... like so many others, finances are awful right now... but if you remember the approximate price let me know and I'll tell you if I can do it.
THANK YOU so much!!! I really appreciate this... if it IS still there, that will be quite a catch for me!
OH... and a good email address for me is tulsasavage at gmail dot com... although I'm behind on answering email, too.. :(

Good to know! Thank you Aaron. Thank you also 995wlol... I should soon be playing the correct radio edit on BlackLight, thanks to you! (I play the 12" dance mixes of the hits on Friday & Saturday nights, so I'll have the extended version in place soon, too!)
This forum continues to blow me away; I'm about to the point of needing to run commercials for Top40MusicOnCD.com on BlackLight in payment for all of your help and advice! :-D It is really, really appreciated.

Is the "full version" the same as the LP version?

Apparently not, no. The LP version runs 6:15, while the Full Version (only available on promo CDs and one compilation) run 6:47.
I don't know yet if there are any mix differences, or if the LP version is an early fade of the Full Mix, or what might have be cut out (or hacked in).
If nobody beats me to it, I'll report when I get my copy!

As no details have been posted for the promo CD singles, here's what I have:
CDP 118
1. 7" Version (actual 5:43)
CDP 119*
1. Full Version (actual 6:48)
2. U.S. Radio Edit (actual 4:03)
*Times taken from UK copy. See note below.
There are identical UK promo CDs for the above two, which have catalog numbers IDCDJ 12 and IDCDJ 22, respectively. US and UK promo copies both utilized the same J-cards, which make no mention of the US "CDP" promo CD catalog numbers at all. My copy of CDP 119 is still sealed (and has the UK J-card with "IDCDJ 22" on the spine and back flap), which is why I took the actual run times from the un-sealed UK copy. The UK disc accidentally reverses the track names, so the US Radio Edit is listed first, which is not true of the actual contents. The shorter edit is on track 2.
While I have no reason to believe the US disc will be any different from the UK copy, I can break open the seal if someone is dying to know.

I had the 12" single and stock 45-rpm disc back in 1989. I wonder if the 12" single has the full version. I recall it being like the LP.
This is one of those cases that the radio edit seems more to the point to me.
