Has anyone ever come across the 45 version of "One Of The Living" on CD? The 45 is remixed and cannot be edited from the LP version.

Was anyone able to edit the 12" version of "One of the Living" to match the 45?

I wouldn't bet on it. Some of Tina's other 12" mixes from this same time period were significantly different than the single mixes (i.e. "Better Be Good To Me").

Good news! This is now available on the new import edition of the "Tina!" compilation, newly titled Tina: The Platinum Collection. This has evolved from a subpar single disc release to a THREE disc set with nearly every solo single on it! My copy arrived today and this is without question the best Tina Turner compilation assembled.

Not every song is featured in its proper single version, but many are... I am so glad to finally have the 45 mix of "One Of The Living" on CD.

And for those wondering, the mastering is as impressive... the levels match 1991's Simply The Best (unlike 2004's brickwalled All The Best.)

Does this CD by chance contain the 45 mix of "Break Every Rule"? The time listed on the wikipedia page is the LP length, but maybe there's an off chance it's the 45 mix but at the longer LP length. The 45 mix is quite a bit different than the LP.

Does anyone have the actual run time for the 45 of "One Of The Living" by Tina Turner? Thanks in advance.

I have "The Platinum Collection", and "Break Every Rule" is in its Album Version.

However, these two foreign compilations appear to have the Single Version, if the listed running times are correct.

Here's the track listing on Discogs. If you're familiar with the run times of the Album Versions Vs. Single Versions, you could probably pick out which ones are which.

But without having the original Single and Album Versions on hand to compare, I'll take a few guesses as to the ones I think I know (at least the ones that were hits in the US). These are just guesses on my part, and not meant to be taken as definitive.

What's Love Got To Do With It - Album/Single Version
Let's Stay Together - Album Version
Private Dancer - Single Version
Better Be Good To Me - Album Version
Show Some Respect - Album/Single Version
It's Only Love - Album/Single Version
Proud Mary - Album Version
The Best - Album Version
We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome) - Single Version
One Of The Living - Single Version
Typical Male - Album/Single Version
What You Get Is What You See - Album Version
Steamy Windows - Album/Single Version
Two People - Album/Single Version
Break Every Rule - Album Version
Look Me In The Heart - Album/Single Version
Missing You - Album/Single Version
I Don't Wanna Fight - Single Version
Why Must We Wait Until Tonight - Single Version
