Abagon reports the actual and printed commercial 45 run time of Genesis' "Invisible Touch" is 3:26. Database CD entries of this song run 3:22-3:28, so I post this info for the benefit of those seeking the exact 45 length on CD.

my commercial 45 issued as atlantic 89407 does not state a version on the label but does have a listed run time of 3:26 and indeed does run that length

A couple of CDs now feature a bass note during the opening drum. This was not heard on the original LP or 45.

The remastered Invisible Touch CD now features this extra bass note as does Turn It On Again "Tour Editon". Turn It On Again "The Hits" does not feature the extra bass note.

Any CD that notes this song is the 2007 remastered version probably needs a remix notation.

Good catch, Bill. I compared the 2007 remaster of "Invisible Touch" in its entirety on the Turn It on Again - The Hits (Tour Edition) CD (Atlantic/Rhino 281852) to the mix on the original pressing of the Invisible Touch disc (Atlantic 81641) and I didn't notice any other mix differences between the two tracks other than the extra bass note in the intro of the former CD. The 2007 remaster also sounds like it may have been EQ'ed to give it a brighter and punchier quality, but otherwise appears to be the same mix to my ears as on the Invisible Touch CD.

That said, I'm not sure the 2007 remaster would qualify so much for a "remix" notation as it would for a more precise comment like "drum intro contains an extra bass note not found on the 45 or LP version". But that's just my opinion.

Sure, that sums it up nicely.
