At long last, I conclude a very busy year of 1969 original 45 research with this song. My commercial 45, which is mono and confirmed as Dunhill/ABC 4192, has both a listed & actual time of (3:05). I only report this info because the only current database CD that states "45 version" for this song features a run time of only (3:00).

Paul, my copy confirms Jim's listed and actual time of (3:05) so this was not a case of turntable hypnosis. :)
Super job, Jim! Thanks for the great effort.

Thank you, Jim! I can see your quest to go through your entire library of Top 40 commercial and promo 45s was quite exhaustive, but you managed to get through it all very quickly and your hard work is very much appreciated, sir. You've unearthed quite a few Top 40 songs where the 45 length is different from their respective CD run times, so I plan to examine some of these differences in more detail and report back with any relevant info. I also look forward to the next phase of your run time analysis project, which I imagine will cover Top 40 singles from 1968!

The only reason I brought this up is because our commercial copy on Dunhill/ABC 4192 has a listed time of (4:05) but an actual time of (3:05)! Deadwax info: 01309 Re
