I had always wondered about this. The Canadian 45 also lists a time of 3:22, but the vinyl LP lists 3:19. I always wondered if they'd slowed it down or something...now we know!

I have this song on something like 27 different discs.

Avoid these; they have their left/right channels reversed:
  • The Hits (1988)
  • swaitek's promo 50-CD The A List Disc 9 (1994)
  • Time-Life's 2-CD Body Talk Vol. 1 Forever Yours (1996)
Avoid these; they are compressed or clip severely:
  • Priority's Eighties Greatest Rock Hits Vol. 1 Passion And Power (1992)
  • Time-Life's Sounds Of The Eighties Vol. 8 1981 (1995)
  • Simitar's Number Ones Classic Rock (1998)
  • Rhino's 7-CD Like Omigod (2002)
  • Time-Life's 2-CD Classic Soft Rock Vol. 9 Cool Night (2007)
These all use the same analog transfer as CBS Records Compact Disc Demonstration II (1983?), and sound pretty good:
  • Time-Life's 2-CD Heart Rock (1988; does not fade early; other tracks on these discs do fade early)
  • CBS' Seems Like Yesterday Vol. 4 (1990)
  • Sony's Keep On Loving You (1993; this is a various-artist compilation, not an REO Speedwagon collection)
  • Sony's 3-CD Feel The Love (1994)
These all sound good as well, and are all based on the same analog transfer (not sure where this analog transfer originated):
  • Razor & Tie's 2-CD Totally '80s (1993)
  • Time-Life's 2-CD Rock Dreams (1993)
  • JCI's 18 Rock Classics (1994)
  • Time-Life's Guitar Rock Vol. 4 1980-1981 (1994)
  • JCI's Only Love 1980-1984 (1995)
  • Simitar's Love Rocks 5 After Midnight (1998)
  • Realm's 3-CD Greatest Hits Of The '80s Vol. 3 (2002)
Finally, one more analog transfer for Sony's 2-CD Read The Hits (1994), and two digital clones of Read:
  • Sony's Living In The '80s (1995; digitally identical)
  • Sony's Hits Of 1981 (1999; 1.2 dB louder)
If I had to pick one, I'd pick Totally '80s, but any of the above three batches of discs sound just fine.
