The current database entries for Rhino 77767 Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd. (Deluxe Edition) indicates that the mono versions of "Pleasant Valley Sunday" and "Words" that appear on disc 2 are the mono LP versions. I've listened to this disc numerous times, and I don't hear any difference between these and their respective 45 versions.

Tim, regarding "Words", the stereo LP has an "aahh" at :56 that does not appear on the single or mono LP. Regarding "Pleasant Valley Sunday", there are background vocals from 1:33 to 1:35 on the stereo LP but no background vocals on the mono LP.

Pat, I agree that the stereo LP versions are noticeably different, but I was referring to these two database entries:

PLEASANT VALLEY SUNDAY
(M) (3:06) Rhino 77767 Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd (deluxe edition) (mono LP version with “PET PIG PORKY” introduction listed as a separate track)

WORDS
(M) (2:47) Rhino 77767 Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd (deluxe edition) (previous selection tracks into the introduction; mono LP version)

What I was trying to say is that what you've listed as the mono LP versions sound (to me, at least) identical to the 45 versions. Sorry for any confusion.

Concerning "Pleasant Valley Sunday" there are vocal differences in how Micky Dolenz says the opening lines.
Great tune no matter what!

Yeah, the stereo LP version uses a different lead vocal on the first verse.

I'm not sure where the confusion is coming in.

If the "Pet Porky Pig" introduction is present on "Pleasant Valley Sunday," it is the mono LP version, not the 45 version. And if the previous song tracks into the introduction of "Words," it is not the 45 version, it's the mono LP version.

Seems like the listing is accurate to me.
