I recently consulted Jim regarding the DJ CD single release of Stacy Earl's "Love Me All Up" and he reports the following track listing and run times on his copy:

1) Radio Edit (Album Version) - 3:59
2) Dance Mix Edit (7" Mix) - 3:51

Track 1 is identical to the "Radio Edit" found on commercial cassette single copies. What is somewhat confusing here though is the "Album Version" qualifier in the Track 1 description because the true LP version runs 4:55 on Stacy Earl's self-titled CD. (I think what promo CD single producers meant to indicate here is that the radio edit derives from the album version.)

Jim meanwhile points out that his radio station played Track 2, the "Dance Mix Edit (7" Mix)". According to Joel Whitburn's Top Pop Singles book, a commercial vinyl 45 was issued for "Love Me All Up". I don't have a copy so I'm unable to verify if the 45 features the "Dance Mix Edit", as Track 2 on the promo CD single seems to imply with the "(7" Mix)" qualifier.

The vinyl 45 says it's the "Radio Edit" and states a running time of 3:59, which is correct within a second or two.

One more thing I forgot to note about the "Love Me All Up" promo CD... The times I listed above are the printed run times. The actual run times are as follows:

1) Radio Edit (Album Version) - 3:58 (just like the cassette single and presumably like Paul C.'s vinyl 45 copy)

2) Dance Mix Edit (7" Mix) - 3:49

That's correct.    I have never seen that promo CD single though. I have the promo CD maxi single:

RCA Records RCA ‎– RDJ 62115-2

1.     Love Me All Up [Radio Edit (Album Version)]     3:59
2.     Love Me All Up [Dance Mix Edit (7" Mix)]     3:51
3.     Love Me All Up [Extended Dance Mix (12" Mix)]     6:36
4.     Love Me All Up [D.S. Sex Mix]     7:15
5.     Love Me All Up [Album Version]     4:56

This could've been a huge hit Top 5 hit, if only RCA was able to have actual hits back then. It looks like RCA Records didn't know what to do with this project! A music
video was never made for "Love Me All Up", however there was a video for "Can't Go On This Way" ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkMjIoMIWOI - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkMjIoMIWOI ). To me, this seems
to indicate that this was meant to be the lead single (a horrible choice!), but then switched gears at the last minute.

The vinyl maxi single includes 3 additional mixes.

Loveland, I agree with you - "Love Me All Up" had all the elements needed for a smash hit. I was so surprised that it didn't take off. I loved (and still love) that song.

I forgot to mention that the reason why the single version is labeled as "[Radio Edit (Album Version)'", is because they are merely indicating that it's an edit of the album version. That logic
applies to tracks 2 and 3.
