While I do not listen to much of current radio, I was surprised to hear one of my current favorite songs with a different intro on the radio this morning. I checked the Promo Only POOL and it wasn't released by them. I googled the name Powerhitz and came up with an internet radio station. Loved it. One my current fave songs. Can't get why it didn't do better on the Hot 100. If someone finds out where the mix comes from, please let us know ! Cristian, I think that it was an issue of airplay and streaming peaking at different times. Despite only hitting #17 on the Hot 100, it peaked at #6 Airplay. The new single, "Mr Electric Blue", is a favorite as well. ------------- Jason Bellenger Byron Center, Michigan, USA |

Quite a few CHR stations replace the original song intros with pieces of the instrumental. This is not unique to the Benson Boone song, as I've heard hundreds of "intro edit" versions on various stations. Often times it's to add an instrumental intro to a song that otherwise starts with vocals. Thanks for the info, Aaron. I don't listen to current radio enough, but that makes sense. Cristian, the #73 peak of "Mr Electric Blue" was when it made its debut digitally back in June.
