My promo has a listed (4:44) LONG VERSION on one side (I heard music until 4:45), and a listed and actual (3:59) SHORT VERSION on the other. Deadwax 82 NP6070 -SHORT PRC-C1.

An edit from 2:40 of the single version to 3:13. Editing on the 4th beat seemed to work best. Then a fade of 17 seconds or so to 3:59.

It does not appear this version is available on CD.

Which one got the most airplay?

I checked a few Dick Clark Top 40 Surveys and they did not use the short version.
