Awesome 1994 hit. However, did radio play the edit (4:32) which is shorter than the 5 plus minutes? I know there is a UK edit which states a running time of 4:12 on discogs but wondered if anyone knew.

I am flexible on these airplay album hits as this one got a lot of airplay but in 1994 hard to believe they would play all 5 plus minute tracks at times. The US Promo has the LP version.

Any thoughts appreciated.

I've never heard of any edits of "Black Hole Sun" until just now. I see on Discogs the CD that has a UK edit, but I'm unfamiliar with a version running (4:32). We played it in full, and we played it quite a lot, in 1994.

Rich, no edits serviced locally. The full version was played on BRU to ad nauseum in 1994/95. Had this one done better in the CHR arena I'm sure a reservice promo would have been sent out.
