i have an import promo cd single for the janet jackson song
'son of a gun (i betcha think this song is about you)' featuring carly simon issued as virgin records vuscdj232 lco3098 and contains 2 tracks as listed below 1-the original flyte tyme remix feat missy elliott (4:13 listed; 4:13 actual) 2-radio edit (4:00 listed; 4:02 actual) question i have is which version received the most airplay in 2001 when it was on the charts... |

Since you said this is an import promo I think any responses would be limited to the country in which that promo was distributed. I have four CD's for this title:

I have the same promos as you do, Tom. One thing I noticed on the second test pressing is that the spine only contains in parenthesis (ALL TRACKS SUPER CLEAN). This is the only place where this is mentioned, and I don't see it anywhere on the disc itself. |

According to the database, Janet featuring Missy Elliott, P. Diddy & Carly Simon's "Son of a Gun" is on the various artists CD Totally Hits 2002 (Warner Music Group/BMG 78192). However, it is not listed on my copy of the CD so I don't know whether this is a database error or if I may have a different pressing. The matrix numbers etched around the center hub of the disc itself are: 3 R2 78192-2 01.
