Renaissance Records released several volumes of "Heard It on the Radio". They used to be a legit label but then became a gray/aread bootleg label that released stuff from vinyl and seemingly stopped working with BMG.What volume did they go rogue and start using mainly vinyl dubs? (I have the 1st 2 volumes, they're legit and sound like master tape.)

Volume 1 was with BMG while Sony Special Products handled volumes 2 and 3.
With volumes 4 and 5, they switched to a "promo only" format. Those are the only 2 other volumes I am aware of them issuing under the banner. Edited by LunarLaugh - 3 hours 50 minutes ago at 10:47am |

I think there were 6 volumes. So I assume, from what you said, vol. 4 is when they started using vinyl, as they weren't asking for tapes from the labels.
