"Theme from Love Story" - Francis Lai

   In a recent e-mail discussion with Ed, he brought to my attention that the 45 version of Francis Lai's "Theme from Love Story" runs 3:05.  The 10th edition shows the one and only CD appearance of the song running 3:19.  Does anyone know if this is the LP version?

	Todd I just picked up the vinyl LP "O.S.T. Love Story" and indeed there is a 45 version (yet to be released on cd in the U.S.) and an LP version. It is the "O.S.T. Love Story" LP version which appears on the Time-Life cd "Instrumental Favorites - Pop Classics"

	No, the 45 version is not on the vinyl LP.

	The "Love Story" Soundtrack is now available on CD. Looks like it came out in 2009 on Universal (I believe it is a domestic release). The run time of "Theme From Love Story" matches the version on "Instrumental Favorites." A 3:21 Version of "Theme From Love Story" also appears on a cd called "Le Cinema de Francis Lai" (which may be digital only and, if not, is almost certainly an import). Does anyone know whether the 3:21 version on this cd is also the original LP version? "Le Cinema de Francis Lai" is on itunes and I can hear the snippet but I'm horrible at spotting re-recordings of instrumentals. The timing leads me to believe it is the correct original LP version, but I'm not entirely sure.

	That 2009 cd release of "Love Story" is an imnport according to CDconnection.
