Perhaps the 3:10 edit is the UK 45 version?

I have no reason to believe the 3:10 release time is not legit. Up until this 2 CD special edition we just didn't notice it. NO, I never heard this 3:10 before but Aaron do you have this 45 references on discogs? You can always pull it and match it to the 3:12 file I sent you for reference. |

It's quite an interesting edit though. Count me in as used to the LP version and prefer that! I sort of got attached to all that nice instrumental and lyrics.... |

I'm guessing like everyone else that the 3:10 is the UK edit. Maybe discogs is wrong.... |

The 3:10 "Single Version" that is featured on the 2020
Cherry Red 2-CD Expanded Edition of "Self Control" is an edit of the full length Jack White Mix (5:06). 45cat lists a 3:12 timing for the Germany 45 single of "The Lucky One". Also, as already noted, there is a U.S. promo 45 with a "New Mix" by Jack White, stating a running time of 4:10. However, comments at discogs and 45cat state that this is actually just the original album version. I went ahead and made a 4:10 edit anyway, using the "Jack White Mix" and the album version as a guide. Assuming none of these promo 45s feature this "New Mix" (and only the album version), I'm curious if the intention was to include the aforementioned 3:10 Jack White "Single Version" (with a misprinted time of 4:10) or an actual 4:10 Jack White mix. |
