"Loungin’" - LL Cool J

   The Top 40 hit "Loungin'" by LL Cool J is shown in the database with a run time of 4:11 on the uncensored version of the Mr. Smith CD, and 4:08 on the censored version.  However, all other CD appearances of the song run 3:44 and there are currently no comments explaining the run time difference.  Do we have a 45/LP version/length issue here, or is the 3:44 version perhaps a DJ edit?

	Todd, the hit version of "Loungin'" was a remix found on the US 2-track CD single. Off the top of my head, I believe the mix was called "Who Do Ya Luv Remix." The LP version is completely different, so there should probably be a 45 version / LP version notation.

	Aaron: Do you know if the single remix is the 3:44 version that has appeared on several CDs in the database to date?

	The Who Do Ya Luv Remix, the leadoff track on my US CD single, runs 3:45, so that should be it.

	Guys, I have finally accessed my deeply-buried promo CD single for this one: LL Cool J-"Loungin" (MECP 108) 1-Loungin Remix (Radio Edit) (listed and actual 3:45) 2-Loungin (LP Radio Edit) (listed 3:59; actual 4:08) I also have a commercial CD single for this (314 575 062 2), which features: 1-Loungin (Who Do Ya Luv Remix) (no listed time; actual 3:45) 2-Loungin (LP Version) (no listed time; actual 4:09) 3-a totally different track, "Summer Luv" Aaron, I would be happy to shoot you out the (3:45) track 1 of my promo CD single, so you could compare/contrast it against cut 1 of the commercial CD single (the also 3:45 "Who Do Ya Luv Remix"). Perhaps these versions are, in fact, one and the same. Edited by jimct

	Jim, I am quite certain that there is no difference between the "Remix (Radio Edit)" and the "Who Do Ya Love Remix." The only version I ever heard on the air was the exact same one from the commercial CD. Thanks!

	Brian was very kind to send me an mp3 of the "Who Do Ya Luv Remix" from his "Loungin'" commercial CD single. I did an A/B comparison between his mp3 and the song as it appears on L.L. Cool J's All World CD (Def Jam 314534125). They are 100% identical. Therefore, the CD appearances in the database running 4:08-4:11 should include the comment: (LP version), while the All World disc, and presumably the other CDs containing the 3:44 version of "Loungin'", should have the comment: (45 version).
