O/T: Iggy Pop - Real Wild Child (Real Wild One)

   The song's beginning to drive me a little crazy, and I'm hoping you can help sort things out for me.

Every copy I have of "Real Wild Child (Real Wild One)" by Iggy Pop runs about 3:36 - 3:38. SOME of the single releases seem to match this length; others list 3:30 as the length.

I'd think it was a label misprint, except one label said "edited." I then listened to the music video on YouTube (which runs 3:30) and it is clearly a different mix. The LP / some single versions have the acapella intro followed by full instrumentation, while the video mix / possible alt single mix has the acapella into followed by drums only for four measures before the rest of the band joins in. (With both mixes, the guitar starts after those four measures.)

I can't find a copy on YouTube of anybody playing the allegedly edited vinyl single.

I can't find an Iggy Pop compilation that lists the shorter version, either.

Does anybody know if this edit / remix WAS on any of the singles or promos, and if this edit / remix ever made it to a digital format?
