my commercial 45 issued as columbia 11036 states on the labels face the run time as 3:44 but actually runs 3:38...i found the correct cold ending version on a cd called

"the rockin' 70's"...issued as sony music select buk 50246

tracks are same as

(S) (3:38) Sony Music Special Products 21136 The Rockin' '70s (this is one of the two commercial pressings of the 45; this song is not listed on the cd jacket but appears as track 6 in place of the incorrectly listed song ”MORE THAN A FEELING” by Boston)

but no boston song...

the etching on the run out groove of the 45 is zss-166234-2c

I was trying to recreate the fade 45 version from the greatest hit CD. I have two copies of this CD, one from the 80s and a later version. I notices on the CD from the 80s the a capella comes in at 3:42 and the other CD the a capella comes in at 3:44. I think it is a slight pitch difference. If faded to 3:44, which is my understanding is the fade 45 time, and the older CD is used there is slight bit of the a capella just before it fades out.

My questions is which one has the same pitch as the vinyl version? Was there any pitch difference between the 45 and Evolution Lp? If anyone has the fade 45 does it completely fade before the a capella part comes in?
