Love Is The Answer by England Dan and John Ford Coley.  Heaven is where there's a lazy, sunny May afternoon and that's playing on an AM radio somewhere.  Also striped tube socks.

Sounds about right...he's a couple months older than me and I was 26 when that LP came out.
It was an exceptional album, something he never topped IMHO.
