For contenders, Billboard Top Pop Albums but it would have to include those that Bubbled Under, like the Pop Singles book does.

My book ideas (I know some of these are impossible to do but wishful thinking on my part.)

Billboard & Cash Box YE Charts

CB Pop Albums
CB Adult Contemporary

BB Revised #1 Hits (it could include CB only #1's)
BB Revised #2 Hits

BB/CB comparison book highlighting certain artists and what chart they did better.

BB/CB book on cover versions. It can be strictly chart related or songs which the original was never released or charted or album cut.

BB book on chart statistics (artists with most charted hits, longevity, biggest leap to #1, etc.)

A book that lists all single releases that never charted.

According to my bookie, the best odds is an update of the C&W Singles
book. If that book sells well, that could possibly lead to a new C&W Annual,
but don’t hold your breathe.

C&W has done well lately on the Hot 100 so the fan base (and potential RR
customers) is looking strong.

I've read so many great suggestions here. An R&R AC book - and updated BB AC/Hot AC book would have been nice. But I think we're left with just finding the old charts online at this point. It would be great if the AC & Hot AC charts on Billboard.com went back to 2006, where the last AC book left off. I'm not sure how far back they go.

Also, not sure if there's a Radio & Records website, but does anyone know where we might find the old AC charts, like '70s & 80s, they published?

Also, in case anyone here isn't aware, there's a great sale going on at the Record Research website. About 8 books are highly discounted; and if you spend $200 or more (on any books/items), you get 50% off your order. Last week I bought 7 books & a few other items.

Not sure if you're aware of this site, but they have scanned copies of R&R pretty much from the beginning to the end. A few holes in the collection (especially the early years) but otherwise a great resource.

The Billboard Website does have both the AC charts within that old RR book on the website.  There are also spreadsheets people have made with these charts saved in.

I've bought most of the books I would like now as a job lot - postage to the UK is quite high (Understandably so, not knocking it at all) so had to merge into a single package.  Came really quickly and was lovely.  Still reading through the all.

Wow, Hyker, that R&R archive website is so cool. I just checked it out quickly. I could probably spend the rest of my life just reading all the issues.

Kingsofskiffle, I don't quite understand. The Billboard website just has the AC charts for what's within the old Record Research book (i.e. through 2006)? I'm particularly interested in where songs charted for after the RR book left off. I'd check the website right now, but I have to do that from another computer. Hopefully, both AC charts go from (at least) 2006 to now.

Unless I am mistaken, these are the charts as named in the book Adult Contemporary and Adult Top 40 (Both names changed to AC and Hot AC in 2006).

If I have misunderstood for that chart then do please let me know as I was under the impression that the chart was the same from that point, at leats it is according to Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adult_Contemporary_(chart)

Adult Top 40 was re-named to Adult Pop Songs and is now called Adult Pop Airplay.

Again a current chart can be found here
https://www.billboard.com/charts/adult-pop-songs/2025-05-17

Hopefully I am allowed to post this link here - if not apologies.

It is to a file created by user DrTravel on UKMix who saves various charts from Billboard.
