Qobuz Hi-Rez is better-than-CD quality (higher bitrate, 24-bit vs. 16-bit for CDs). You can purchase CD quality at Qobuz as well... it will ask you when you check out whether you want CD quality. https://www.qobuz.com/us-en/album/thriller-40-michael-jackso n/o4mbmm0ioh7ya |

Thanks Brian. I guess my big question is how does the Hi-
Res files compare to a FLAC file? If FLAC is indeed superior, where can I download FLAC files as stated on the Discogs digital release page? |

The Hi-Rez files are FLAC files. They're just FLAC files at a slightly higher bitrate. A physical CD - 16-bit/44.1khz Qobuz FLAC - 16-bit/44.1khz (so the same as a CD) Qobuz Hi-Rez FLAC - 24-bit/44.1khz (a little bit better quality still) Both the FLAC and the Hi-Rez FLAC can be downloaded at the link I posted above. You just choose which when you put it in your cart. Edited by Brian W. |
