Andy, the file John sent me sounded just as you described it. That "Shambala-ized" fake stereo part on the piano coda still doesn't hide the weird-sounding edit at 3:34, at least when listening to it in stereo. Interestingly enough, when folded to mono, that edit doesn't leap out at all. Seems a bit ironic that a stereo replication attempt would sound smoother in mono at that particular point, than it does in stereo.
The bigger problem is that the four piano notes that kick off the piano coda at 3:18 during the crossfade on the stereo 45/LP version (and which appear in-the-clear at 3:28 on the mono DJ 45) were not removed from the stereo replication attempt. As a result, they appear at *both* 3:18 and 3:28, making it a "neither the 45/LP nor mono DJ 45 version" in T40MOCD parlance. |

It was a creation by Bob Radil, if I'm not
mistaken. I too have the same file, but still prefer my test pressing 45, which is mono on both sides. |

Live in stereo.
