This is exciting... the MONO radio edits of 1999 and Let's Pretend We're Married? The Dance Mix Radio Edit of Little Red Corvette? Several tracks marked "Video Version"? Bring it on!

I'm looking forward to the live material including a DVD of a 1982 performance. Prince fans should be pleased with the Super Deluxe Edition since it's packed with bonus material.

It's nice to see this release. I do have the mono promo
edit of "1999" already, but this digital release might sound better than my vinyl copy. |

The "Dance Remix - Promo Only Edit" of "Little Red
Corvette" is not an edit of the long "Dance Remix" at all. It is simply the single version faded much later. My local radio station used to play this version. It was Warner being sloppy with how it labelled the version. "Long Radio Edit" would have been more appropriate. Regardless, I am looking forward to this release! Edited by Bellenger1981 |

Mine is also pre-ordered! I'm most looking forward to the Vault material. I believe the mono versions are just fold-downs of the stereo single versions that we've long had in our collections. Nothing too exciting there.

What's unique about either of these? No differences jump out at me between the mono & stereo sides of my promos. Given that most stations likely to play Prince in 1983 were on FM the mono mixes (assuming there's a difference) wouldn't have been what we heard on the radio. Is it safe to assume since these are 2019 remasters that they're also brickwalled? That having been said, I did work weekends at an AM top 40 station in '82/83 (though we transitioned to AC in the late summer). Edited by Hykker |

Most of the recent Prince releases do not look brickwalled in an audio editor.

Anyone get this deluxe edition and had a chance to listen to it yet? How would you rate the sound quality? Also, what did you think of the vault tracks? I am curious if the version on this set of "Moonbeam Levels" has improved sound versus the version that appeared on the 4ever double CD set from 2016. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Sound quality is excellent! Vault tracks are really good. The alternate
mix of “Something In The Water...” is better than the LP version. The copy of “Moonbeam Levels” is perfect, unlike the 4Ever set which takes it from a bootleg. |

Best archival Prince release yet IMO. There are several vault tracks
that would have been right at home on the album, and I’m surprised more of them didn’t slip out onto 12” or 7” B-sides. Like Aaron said, “Moonbeam Levels” is a major improvement over ‘4Ever’. I wish they’d do a repress of that with the new master. Edited by EternalStatic |
