Not a Top 40 hit, but Bill Cahill mentioned in another
Respberries post about a 45 version of "Tonight" from the Raspberries. Does anyone know how to recreate the 45 version? |

I have the Rhino 3 inch CD from the early 90s. Tonight runs at 3:30 here versus other CDs that clock in at 3:42. Is this the 45 version on the 3 inch CD?

Yes, that is the 45 version. It's called the "Lil' Bit Of
Gold" 3 inch CD according to my research. |

Also. those old 'Lil Bit Of Gold 3" Compact Discs are well
mastered, usually flat or minimally, from good tape sources. Many of them are still the best sounding available of the content. And single versions often. |

Can someone confirm that this is just and edit and not a
mix difference? |

To me, it sounds like some mix differences. The opening
count-off from Eric Carmen sounds more centered on the 45 version where it's off to the right in the LP version. Not sure if there are other differences. |
