celine dion all by myself

my commercial cd single for the celine dion song "all by myslef" issued as 550 music/epic 78529 does not state a version or run time on the jacket or cd itself but runs 3:57 and is an edit of the 5:07 cd/lp version...this cd single info s/b added to the db....

Both tracks stay the same til around the 2:14 mark then the piano
instrumental is edited down then the vocal returns with "All By Myself"
from the
3:02 point forward in the LP version meaning they edited out another
When I Was Young passage. The mixes remain the same after this but
the single fades the Falling Into You version completely out at approx
the 4:26 point.

This should provide a decent outline until someone can provide a more
precise edit.

Hi Pat,

The version of the My Love album currently for sale on US itunes is the
UK version. I bought both countries versions on disc when they were
originally released since each was
tailored to reflect Celine's different hits in each region. The main reason
I think we lucked out on getting the radio edit released there is that
some of the UK big hits like Think Twice were longer than the US only
ones that were chopped to make room. Someone at Sony probably
didn't pay attention and put the wrong version on Itunes as when you
go to buy the US disc or download of My Love on Amazon you get the
correct American version with the album version of All By Myself....
