My commercial 45 has a listed time of (3:29), but an actual time of (3:26).

interesting....john was kind enough to send me a wave file

of the 45 version of the song, which i didn't have in my collection, and i compared it to my vinyl 45....my vinyl 45 runs 3:26 like jim's, but the file john sent is much slower than the vinyl 45....that file runs 3:26.....when i pitched up the file to match the vinyl 45 it was 0:04 short......does any of the cd's in the db contain the properly pitched 45 version? |

version running 3:26 with the proper pitch and length using the lp version...thanks, mark!! |

The version on "Greatest Of" (RCA 3746) runs 3:24 as the DB

says, however, it fades around 4-5 seconds early. Thus, I believe it is 2-3 seconds slower in pitch than the actual 45. The DB doesn't mention an early fade so I thought I would update this topic with that information; thanks! |

If someone has it ripped and can send me the track, I can investigate the pitch and fade issue. Otherwise, I'll make a note to grab my CD and rip it (which is not currently at home with me).

Thank you, Todd! I added comments for that disc as well as Only Dance, which is a digital copy of Greatest Hits Of. Indeed, those two discs run slow and fade too soon.
