For anyone interested, Warner Japan is releasing in June a box set with 14 individual cds for each original 45 released in Japan which includes single mixes (most of them never before released on cd).

Great news! Hopefully they're all from tape. Some tracks on the Carpenters singles box, for example, were 45 dubs. And Aaron thinks the "People are Strange" Digital 45 is a disc dub. We shall see. Here's the track listing from CDJapan:

Wow, I hope the single version of "Touch Me" is the right version, and from tape! I've been wanting that for a LONG time.

So "Wishful Sinful" was not released as a single in Japan?

I can understand why they would want each single to be its own cd, but that just seems so impractical to me..... I think the smarter thing to do would've been to make it a 45 rpm box set with one cd containing all of the tracks as well.
Live in stereo.

So what is the difference between
the LP mix and the 45 mix for this single? They should
have included this one remaining single version in this box
set (there may never be another opportunity).

"Wishful Sinful" was remixed similar to the way that "Touch Me" was remixed, with instruments in different places in the stereo field.. I
believe the bass and drum are more in the center.. To give it more punch. I haven't listened in a while but that's what I remember. But unlike
Touch Me, the mono radio version of "Wishful Sinful" sounds like a simple fold down to me. "Touch Me" sounds like a dedicated mono mix. And
it's slower.
