My commercial 45, which is stereo, has a listed time of (3:20), but an actual time of (3:28).

Thanks for passing along your valuable run time info as always, Jim! So unless there's another commercial 45 pressing that runs a different length, it appears all CD appearances of the 45 version in the database run :04 to :10 too long.

Todd, I see the five 45 versions in the database running from (3:24) to (3:30) which places them all within a few seconds of the (3:28) running time.

I misread Jim's original post and thought the actual 45 run time was 3:20, which I now realize is just the printed time. My mistake.

Does the 45, commercial or promo, have the countoff? I know I used to play the promo 45, but I can't recall...just curious.

My commercial 45, as well as both sides of my mono/stereo promo 45, include the "1,2 - 1,2,3" countoff.

Thanks, Jim...I must've used to cue past it which is why my memory was cloudy. In fact, I'm sure I did now that I'm thinking harder about it.

puzzles!!!.....john was kind enough to send me the 3:30 running version from one of the cds he has in his possession....BUT....it doesn't have the countoff at the beginning.....my commercial 45 issued as swan song 70015 with a stated run time of 3:20 with an actual run time of 3:29 contains the count off "one, two, one, two, three".....then the drums kick in.....couple of questions, pat.....do any of the alleged "45 versions" running approximately 3:30 contain the count off?....in addition.....after listening to the vinyl 45 side by side, with headphones, like i usually do, i can't hear any difference in the mix from the 45 to the version on the cd "10 from 6" except the song fades out to the 3:30 mark while the "10 for 6" cd version runs to approximately 4:13....so, to my ears, the d/b should be amended to reflect the 4:13 versions as "lp length" and the 3:30 versions as the "45 length, missing the count-off"... anyone have any additional thoughts to share...

Ed, the reason I have entered LP version and 45 version in the database is that the LP version has a completely different ending than the 45 version even though you can fade the LP version to get the 45 version.

I betcha if you edit in the countoff to the versions running 3:24 or 3:25 in the database that you'll have the true 45 version.
