Does anyone know of any discographies for the rerelease ("oldies" or "greatest hits") 45s from major labels?

I'm talking about the tan-label or red-label Columbia releases, the "GWB" catalog number Warner Bros. releases, the Flashback releases from the Arista catalog, and so forth. Sometimes, the labels paired up two former hits as A- and B-sides. There are some gems on the rerelease 45s that may not be on the original releases ("Into The Groove", the promo version of "White Horse" that got the airplay, the medley of "Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go", etc.)

Specifically, I'm looking for a big list of the 45s that got new catalog numbers when they were rereleased, after they were hits.

It seems like these are considered very un-collectable by a lot of collectors, although they're likely more rare than their original-release counterparts.

Anyone deal much with rerelease 45s?
There's a lot of crap on the radio, but there's only one Crap From The Past.

Ron, I found a couple of discographies via quick Google searches over on 45cat. They're not necessarily all in order, and I can't vouch for their accuracy or completeness. but they are a good starting point:

Columbia Hall Of Fame: http://www.45cat.com/label/columbia-hall-of-fame

Warner Brothers Back To Back Hits: http://www.45cat.com/label/warner-bros-back-to-back-hits-us

For the ultimate in comprehen$iveness, there's the reissue supplement to Ken Clee's The American Directory of 45 RPM Records (http://stakowax.com/directory_info.htm), although the price for the directory and reissue supplement puts this well beyond the reach of all but the most serious collectors.

I don't specifically collect them, but like most of us,
have quite a few in my collection. To add another layer
of (possible) collector interest, many labels issued promo
copies of their reissue singles...I have Capitol, Epic,
Dunhill and Warner/Reprise, the newest being a George
Benson one from the late 70s.
