My promo CD single for No Doubt's "Spiderwebs" (Trauma/Interscope PRCD
6634) contains the following tracks:

1. Radio Edit (listed 3:50, actual 3:51)
2. Album Version (listed 4:28, actual 4:27)

The edit has never been available commercially (unfortunate, since it
seemed to get the majority of Top 40 airplay).

Just wanted to add that the radio edit cannot be recreated
from the album version as some guitars have been mixed
down. In the following link, you can hear an example of
this at 3:11 and 3:33. These two points correspond to 3:10
and 3:45 of the album version.

The video link posted by JFive is not working anymore.

After checking in headphones and an audio editor, I can say that although the differences are not profound, both tracks on the 1996 U.S. promo CD single are remixed as compared to the actual album and import singles. That is, the "Album Version" on the promo single is a remix of the actual album version, and the Radio Edit is cut down from that.

In the remix, the reverb on the intro toms has been very slightly beefed up (it has a different sound to it, not simply a matter of EQ differences). Right after that, the steel drums and synth are panned hard left and right (very wide stereo, like the crash cymbals), rather than being nearer to the center. Guitar accents are panned harder and are louder at various points in the song. And at about 15 seconds in, the tape starts running 0.6% slower.

The remix was used on the video for its inclusion on the 2004 DVD release of No Doubt – The Videos 1992–2003. I suspect it may be the correct soundtrack for the video as it aired in 1996, but I have no way of verifying that. Meanwhile, it seems the official video on YouTube currently has the original album/single mix. (I didn't check it thoroughly, though.)

I'm wondering if the remix ever replaced the album version on some of the Tragic Kingdom CDs or appeared on any compilations.
