After digging out through six inches of snow, this was this morning's first choice on my iPod. Most CDs have the LP version, but there's one version off the OOP Varese Sarabande Bubblegum Classics series that is listed as "neither the 45 or LP version" and runs about seven seconds longer than the single.

Anynoe able to pinpoint the difference (I'd like to get that version if someone at Half.com has it)? I know the 45 can't be extracted from the LP because of Bloom's end vocals.

Thanks.
Doug

The ending on the 45 is totally different than the ending on the Varese Sarabande cd.

So, just to clarify, all the LP versions have the "Oh, what a beautiful
morning" ending? Does that mean that the Varese Sarabande CD
version has the same LP ending and the song is edited?
Also, I have a version on a CD that Pat does not list--The Best
Of Rock 'N Soul
(Priority CDL-7922), from 1988. This version is
the LP version, but someone has added echo to, or doubled, the lead
vocal. The vocal, at least, is mixed differently from my original 45.
And you are correct in that you can't recreate the 45 ending because
there is no section of the song to extract the whole whistling section
at the 45's end, after the line "Dance in the streets."
