As of the printing of my 1955-1996 book, the listings for this track were mostly the 12" version, with one CD having a sped-up LP version and one being segued together.

I found what I think is the 45 version on the 2-CD Sessions Presents The Ultimate Party Album (Warner Special Products OPCD-4541, 1992), where it has a printed time of 3:31 and an actual run time of 3:27 (excluding outro silence). It sounds pretty nice, like it was mastered properly from a tape source.

This 45 version is also on the UK 5-CD set 100 All Time Classic Dance Hits Of The 1970s (Connoisseur Collection DHOS CD100, 1988), where it runs 3:26. Doesn't sound all that great on here, and the collection itself is pretty rare.

I don't have the RCA 45 to compare, but it sounds right to my ears.

By the way, I discovered that the song is a remake! It was done originally by Frankie Valli on the Lady Put The Light Out album (Private Stock PS 7002, released 1977). The Odyssey version was a hit in early '78. Neato!

Yeah, I made that same recent discovery, too - when I bought those 4 Frankie Valli CDs recently released - and found on there a few other songs that became covers for other people (where I didn't even know about the Valli originals).
