The mono version from "Essential" fades at 3:52, while my stereo versions end cold several seconds later. Can someone check the 45 to see if it indeed fades, or ends cold? Database would need updating to reflect this info.

David, my commercial 45 (Columbia 41589) does fade at the end.
There's no printed time on label, but the actual time is 3:55. The fade begins on the fifth beat of the last word, "hip" at 3:48.32 and ends at 3:55.05. Edited by Yah Shure |

I have the track on A Lifetime Of Song and the fade matches what John said above. The track on that disc is mono.
