For those who don't know, the difference between the 45 version (labeled as a remix) and the LP is the refrain "She's setting you up, my friend/She's gonna break your heart again"? which is repeated two times in the remix. It's not in the LP version.

The database makes it clear the 1985-1995 Greatest Hits is not the 45 version. What version is it? Essential has the LP version.

I'd be interested to know if the 7 inch remix on this UK disc is the same as on the US 45:

This is track 4 on the UK promo:

On a side note, The 12 inch remix is an entirely different mix, with an entirely different feeling to it. First time hearing it.

The 12 inch Japanese one is a bit longer

Favorite two expressions to live by on this board: "You can't download vinyl" and "Not everything is available on CD."

I have that UK CD Single. It has the "She's setting you up, my friend" refrain. The mix does sound different as compared to the LP Version. The
vocals and instrumentation to me sound a little further back in the mix whereas on the LP Version, they sound more upfront. (This could also have
something to do with mastering, I suppose. You're talking about a 15 year difference between the UK CD Single and the LP Version that's on
"Essential", which is what I was listening to. The CD Single was obviously pre-loudness wars).

I also have Greatest Hits 1985-1995. The version of the song on there fades in for about 2 seconds, whereas on "Essential", it opens cold. I didn't
notice any mix differences between it and the version on "Essential".
