Not quite as exciting now that most new releases are available in FLAC on 7Digital, but it's one more option, and better late than never.
The article doesn't specifically address downloads, but Qobuz has both downloads and streaming available in every other country, so I don't see why the US would be different. Qobuz Named Official High-Resolution Streaming Service of Rocky Mountain International Audio Fest |

It's always good to have more options to obtain lossless downloads. On a side note, I don't think PONO is every coming back is it?

No, Pono is dead permanently. |

Qobuz USA is now in open beta, so I think anyone can purchase from there in FLAC or Apple Lossless.

I meant "public" beta, but it won't let me edit the post.

Qobuz USA, 7 digital and Tidal Store are 3 excellent resources for lossless top 40 hits.

Of course, sometimes the flacs they sell are actually lossy, especially 7 Digital (and its sister company Onkyo) and Tidal.

I have been mighty impressed by what i've found on Qobuz,
so far. As a closed beta tester, I have been upgrading a lot of mp3s in my collection to lossless. |

I actually find Tidal Store for the real hard 2010's digital downloads to be expensive but worth it if you can't get it on either 7 digital or Qobuz. I do think 4.99 for one lossless song is a bit expensive, but when you need to complete a year, its better than nothing. I did find a lot of stuff on Qobuz that I could not find elsewhere, including the 50's and 60's artists. Edited by PopArchivist |

I've also had a similar experience. And, when you think about it, paying $4.99 for that one rare song isn't a big deal. How many of us have paid that much, or more for that one song on a used CD? I'm just happy there are now more options for those of us who want lossless. My problem is that money's been very tight over the last couple of months. |
