My commercial 45, confirmed as Tamla 54096, has both a listed and actual
time of (2:38), with machine-stamped deadwax of "R4KM-653 -1 E", followed by a handwritten "DMB - 084214". The "Complete Motown Singles" CD series included two versions: a (2:31) "first mix", and a (2:39) "second mix". My 45 copy matches up with the later mix, although I honestly don't know which mix was more commonly found on the 1964 stock 45s. I thought my findings here were at least worth a post. Perhaps others who own this 45 can post what is found on their copies..... Edited by jimct |
